I love this car! It has exceeded my expectations. Ive had the car for a few days, filled it up for £57 and have driven about 200 miles and there is still over half a tank left. It really is a joy to drive. Gear changing is smooth, it absorbs the bumps in the road really well. Its nippy around town and is really good to drive on the motorways picking up speed very quickly. It doesnt make too much noise when driving on the motorway. The surround sound is brilliant. Its spacious inside. I love the touchscreen functions. Love the fact also that it looks a bit sporty. I highly recommend it.

Quick Summary
The Skoda Fabia Mk4 is a spacious, practical, and comfortable supermini that embodies Skoda's philosophy of delivering a bigger car for a smaller price. Built on the MQB-A0 platform, it offers an exceptionally generous interior with 380 litres of boot space—matching the Volkswagen Golf and Seat Leon from the class above. The cabin quality rivals anything in its segment, with sophisticated plastics and finishes throughout. Powered by a range of petrol engines from 79bhp to 148bhp, the Fabia delivers impressive refinement and competitive fuel economy, with the best claiming 56.8mpg. The driving experience prioritises comfort over excitement, with excellent bump absorption and a quiet, relaxed demeanour.
For those seeking more excitement, the new Fabia 130 offers a 174bhp turbocharged 1.5-litre engine with a seven-speed DSG gearbox, stiffer suspension, and recalibrated steering, accelerating to 62mph in 7.4 seconds. Available in multiple trim levels with comprehensive technology and safety features, the Fabia represents outstanding value for budget-conscious buyers and growing families. Running costs are competitive, with low VED charges for new models and strong residual appeal.
Best for: Budget-conscious buyers, growing families seeking practicality and space, and those prioritising comfort and refinement over dynamic handling.
Not ideal for: Drivers seeking thrilling performance or engaging handling dynamics, or those requiring a manual gearbox in the sportier Fabia 130 variant.

The Verdict
You should buy the Fabia if: You're on a budget, seeking a spacious and practical car for families, or prioritising comfort and refinement over dynamic handling.
Consider alternatives if: You desire thrilling performance, engaging handling dynamics, or require a manual gearbox in the sportier variant.
Competitive Position: The Skoda Fabia Mk4 is a compelling choice in the supermini market, offering exceptional space, comfort, and value. Whilst it matches rivals like the Volkswagen Polo and Seat Ibiza on overall ratings, the Fabia distinguishes itself through superior interior roominess and practicality. Its 380-litre boot outperforms most competitors, and cabin quality rivals anything in the segment. The Fabia 130 provides an affordable, spirited alternative to more expensive hot hatchbacks. For budget-conscious buyers prioritising space and comfort over sportiness, the Fabia represents outstanding value and remains a highly sensible choice.
