Dacia Duster (2024-present) Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |

| Great value compared to similarly sized rivals | Refinement still falls short of mainstream competitors |

| Efficient hybrid powertrain option | Engine noise intrusive with hybrid powertrain |
Quick Summary
The Dacia Duster (2024-present) is Dacia's rugged, affordable compact crossover SUV, blending practicality and value in the competitive small SUV segment. While no longer as incredibly cheap as its predecessors, starting from around £19,000, it delivers significantly more refinement and equipment. Powertrain options include a 1.0-litre bi-fuel, a 1.2-litre mild hybrid (130hp), and a 1.6-litre full hybrid system, with 4x4 capability available for the mild hybrid, offering genuine off-road prowess rare in its class.
The Duster offers impressive practicality, with front-wheel-drive petrol models boasting a class-leading 517 litres of boot space. Its driving experience is notably improved over previous generations, feeling more secure on the road. The full hybrid model achieves around 50mpg, contributing to low running costs, though engine noise can be intrusive at lower speeds. While interior materials are utilitarian, build quality feels substantial. The 10.1-inch touchscreen includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and physical controls are a practical touch, making it a compelling, pragmatic choice for buyers.
Best for: Drivers on a budget, those seeking a practical and value-for-money compact SUV, buyers needing genuine off-road capability (4x4 models).
Not ideal for: Buyers prioritising premium interior finishes, top-tier refinement, cutting-edge infotainment, or a consistently quiet driving experience at all speeds.

4.6 Overall rating
(28 reviews)The Duster was good value for money, just what I was looking for a small 4x4 .
great car, vale for money, has all the features of a comfortable vehicle. its great to drive and economical
Nice looking and very economical but interior is very basic
After reading positive reviews about the Duster I decided to go and try one out, Surprisingly comfy and quite perky for a diesel and a great plus is the economy is superb and low road tax band make the car a bargain, very roomy with a nice high seating position. Recommended
I like the ability - as anolder person to truly sit up and see out of the car with ease. Controls are fine for modern needs and I am sure it will hold its price better than other cars.
