Dacia Jogger (2026) Pros and Cons

Pros	Cons
Outstanding value for money	Seats lack support
Seven seats as standard	Lots of engine and tyre noise
Willing engines	Poor Euro NCAP safety rating

Quick Summary

The Dacia Jogger is a seven-seat family car that delivers exceptional value for money. Based on the Renault Clio platform with an extended wheelbase and raised roofline, it offers impressive practicality with flexible seating configurations and up to 2,085 litres of boot space. Starting from £18,995, it undercuts rivals significantly whilst providing genuine usability for families. Two engine options are available: a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol (TCe 110) delivering 45-50mpg, and a 1.6-litre hybrid (Hybrid 155) achieving 55-60mpg with lower emissions.

The Jogger excels in practicality and running costs, with predicted residual values of 55-60 percent after three years. However, it prioritises affordability over refinement, with noticeable engine and tyre noise, basic interior materials, and a poor Euro NCAP safety rating. The third-row seats are surprisingly spacious and easy to access, whilst the narrow outer second-row seats may challenge some child seat installations. Despite its flaws, the Jogger represents outstanding value for budget-conscious families seeking a practical seven-seater without the premium price tag.

Best for: Budget-conscious families seeking a practical seven-seater, those prioritising value for money, and buyers wanting flexible seating configurations with low running costs.

Not ideal for: Buyers prioritising premium refinement, those seeking the safest seven-seat option, or those sensitive to engine and road noise.

Comparison vs Key Rivals

The Verdict

You should buy the Jogger if: You're budget-conscious, seeking a practical seven-seater, or prioritising value for money with flexible seating and low running costs.

Consider alternatives if: You prioritise premium refinement, require the safest seven-seat option, or are sensitive to engine and road noise.

Competitive Position: The Dacia Jogger is a standout value proposition in the seven-seat market, offering exceptional affordability without sacrificing practicality. Whilst rivals like the Kia Sorento and Skoda Kodiaq deliver superior refinement, safety ratings and overall quality, they command significantly higher prices. The Jogger's user rating of 5.0 out of 5 reflects strong real-world satisfaction, particularly amongst budget-conscious families. For those willing to accept basic materials and higher noise levels, the Jogger represents unbeatable value. However, families prioritising safety and premium feel should consider the Kia Sorento or Skoda Kodiaq despite their higher costs.
