There was a point in history when MINI released a vast number of models in a very short space of time, seemingly in an effort to cover pretty much every motoring niche going, and the Paceman was the pinnacle of it. Essentially, it’s a three-door coupe version of the high-riding Countryman SUV, which gives it a strange combination of qualities, and pits it squarely at the three-door version of the Range Rover Evoque. It had the retro charm of other MINIs, but it didn’t have much more in the way of practicality, and had nowhere near the handling agility. It only lasted from 2013 to 2016.
