The Mercedes-Benz E-Class needs no introduction, really. It’s been around for many decades, and is a household name that most will recognise as a large, lavish executive saloon or estate. As ever, it remains something of a technical showcase, and today’s E-Class offers brilliant, long-range diesel and petrol plug-in hybrid powertrains, as well as traditional non-plug-in petrol or diesel engines.

The car is an E240, petrol, 2.6 6 litre Auto. Great looking car for its age, beautiful profile. Interior is classically designed, and no cup holders...I dont think they were thought of back then. Quality leather, nice unassuming wood trim, comfortable seats, and as an auto gears have seamless shift. It feels superbly put together, everything is solid, quality plastics too. Huge boot. Lovely to drive, smooth, quiet. Had it 5 years, enjoyed every minute of my ownership. New in 2005 it was £33,000, I bought it for £4000....you get an awful lot of car for that. Highly recommended.
Probably the best Mercedes in all it’s classes, not too small and not to big; just perfect.
This is an amazingly smooth and quiet ride with plenty of power when needed, but great on fuel also.
The Mercedes E class is the best car to buy . Im a massive Mercedes fan and this car just shows how quality Mercedes are . The fuel efficiency is amazing on the car and the ride is smooth the air suspension works a treat. I think the Mercedes e class is great value
