The Nissan Navara is one tough pick-up truck. The first generation arrived in 1997 as a successor to the old Datsun D21, and it stuck around across three generations – the latter two launched in 2004 and 2014 respectively – until production ended in 2022. The final version was much more car-like inside and to drive than its predecessors (older models were considerably more utilitarian and aimed more at business-only users) with a good level of equipment, a big load bay, and punchy diesel engines. Its competitors from the same era include the Ford Ranger, the Volkswagen Amarok, and the Mitsubishi L200.

(20 reviews)Pity it is not available new. 3.5 tonnes towing, in a smaller build size, like the D21 had, would sell well with farmers, the one I have purchased is plenty big enough, bordering on clumsy, but there are not many options, Ford are unreliable engines, Toyota out priced, Isuzu unreliable and expensive repairs, will not have another!

Fantastic vehicle even better than the description, excellent value , fully loaded and drives brilliantly
I think the engine is good for 160,000 after that I think it could fail and then it would cost a hefty sum to fix it. Apart from that it’s a good vehicle and quite luxurious for a pickup truck. I would have another one as long as I acquired it with low mileage.
