2026 Omoda 7 review | A petrol family SUV that's big on value
The Omoda 7 is a rare thing: a new Chinese SUV that isn’t actually electric. Instead, it’s powered by a choice of petrol and plug-in hybrid engines. But the bigger draw will be inside the car, where the amount of space and equipment you get is remarkable given this car’s low price. A brittle ride over bumps, a fiddly touchscreen and a warranty that doesn’t cover as much as you’d hope are the main downsides, but even so, the 7 is extraordinary value regardless.
