Seat Ibiza (2026) Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Economical and efficient petrol engines | Interior design is starting to show its age |
| Good-looking design that’s aged well | Could be a bit more fun to drive |
| Strong value for money | No hybrid or electric options |
Quick Summary
The Seat Ibiza (2026) is a stylish, practical, and economical five-door supermini, recently facelifted at the end of 2025 to keep it competitive. Built on the same platform as the VW Polo, it offers impressive interior space for four adults and a 355-litre boot. It balances comfort and agility, making it one of the most enjoyable cars to drive in its class.
Power comes from economical 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engines (94bhp or 113bhp), achieving up to 55.4mpg. Running costs are low, with competitive insurance groups and affordable servicing. The Ibiza provides strong value for money, generous equipment levels, and a refined driving experience, making it a compelling alternative to pricier rivals.
Best for: Drivers on a budget, those seeking a stylish, practical, and economical supermini, buyers who want an engaging drive without sacrificing comfort.
Not ideal for: Buyers prioritising hybrid/electric powertrains, those seeking the absolute latest in interior design, or the ultimate in driving excitement (like the old Ford Fiesta).

The Verdict
You should buy the Ibiza if: You're on a budget, seeking a stylish, practical, and economical supermini, or you want an engaging drive without sacrificing comfort.
Consider alternatives if: You prioritise hybrid/electric powertrains, seek the absolute latest in interior design, or desire the ultimate in driving excitement (like the old Ford Fiesta).
Competitive Position: The Seat Ibiza (2026) is a strong contender in the supermini segment, offering a compelling blend of sharp styling, practicality, generous equipment, and low running costs. Its recent facelift ensures it remains relevant, providing a more mature feel than some rivals. While it may not match the premium polish of a VW Polo, it often provides better value. Newer rivals like the Peugeot 208 and Renault Clio offer fresher tech and electrification, but the Ibiza remains a highly sensible and enjoyable choice, especially for budget-conscious buyers.

4.6 Overall rating
(14 reviews)The cars features are really good for a 2012. I think the price of car was very good for the condition of it.
Just got the seat abiza, and I love it, quite nippy for 1.4 petrol, nice size boot, nice looking interior, all and all a very nice car.
My expectations were high, considering that it is really a VW Polo at much less price. The drive is smooth and quiet and it handles beautifully on all roads, but loves the motorway. First class.
Great car - It was me that bought it! It has given me the excitement in driving again. Its only a car - but I love it. Thought I always liked big cars - the Seat Ibiza is a little car that feels like a big one. Although it goes round corners like its on rails.
Great small hatchback with a lively and gutsy powerful turbo 1 lt engine, goes very well, greatly impressed by the performance and. Power. Its quiet, spacious and Haa great tech to assist the driver. Buy one!
