Seat Leon Review (2012-2019) | A great all-round family hatchback

Family hatchbacks were the bread-and-butter of the UK car market – at least until buyers switched in their droves to SUVs – and the third-generation Seat Leon, produced between 2012 and 2019, was a strong seller. It shared many components with the contemporary Volkswagen Golf, but was cheaper to buy and arguably more stylish. Seat Leon MK3 is a beautiful car with lots of features at a reasonable price. I like the driving position, interior space, the dashboard layout and driving convenience options. Its a like-for-like alternative to a VW Golf and Audi A3 but if you go for the same spec the Audi and VW will cost an arm and leg compared to a Seat Leon. I personally like the SE-TECH model as it has all the toys I need but is cheaper than the top-spec FR model.

Excellent looking car,inside and out. Comfortable bucket seats.Relaxing drive. Touch screen sat nav. Gear stick is smooth to change. Would highly recommend

Low and sporty ride in the estate with the size and room needed to fit a +6 foot passenger behind the same size driver with ease. I have the 1.6 diesel and it’s got enough kick for everyday life.
