Skoda Fabia (2021-present) Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Very roomy interior | Some weedy engine choices |
| Comfortable and easy to drive | So-so warranty offering |
| Good value for money | Monte Carlo feels no more exciting than any other Fabia |
Quick Summary
The fourth-generation Skoda Fabia (2021-present) continues the brand's tradition of offering a bigger-than-average car for a lower price, without compromising quality or technology. Built on the VW Group’s MQB-A0 platform, it's significantly larger and roomier than its predecessors, providing exceptional legroom and headroom. Its 380-litre boot capacity rivals cars from the class above, making it highly practical for a supermini.
The Fabia prioritises comfort, offering a smooth and quiet ride that excels at soaking up road imperfections. While not the most dynamic, its light and responsive steering makes it easy to drive. Powered by efficient turbocharged petrol engines, it balances performance and economy well, with most engines achieving around 56.5mpg. The cabin boasts high quality and sophistication, and modern tech features are available across trims, making it a strong value proposition in the supermini segment.
Best for: Drivers seeking a spacious and practical supermini, those prioritising comfort and ease of driving, and buyers looking for excellent value for money in a new car.
Not ideal for: Buyers wanting a truly exciting or sporty driving experience (even the Monte Carlo trim), or those who need a top-tier warranty offering.

Consider alternatives if: You want a truly exciting or sporty driving experience (even the Monte Carlo trim), or require a top-tier warranty offering.
Competitive Position: The Skoda Fabia (2021-present) is a formidable contender in the supermini market, delivering on Skoda's core philosophy of providing a larger, more practical car at a more affordable price point. It excels in interior space and boot capacity, often outclassing rivals and even some cars from the segment above. While it focuses on comfort and refinement over outright driving thrills, its high-quality cabin, modern technology, and efficient engines make it a highly sensible and appealing choice. 4.6 Overall rating
(25 reviews)Alright but not for me. Fair enough price but too many miles on the clock.
I can recommend Skodas as reliable and sturdy. I drove Skodas as Taxis for many years and more and more Taxi owners adopted them as vehicle of choice for their business.
I love this car! It has exceeded my expectations. Ive had the car for a few days, filled it up for £57 and have driven about 200 miles and there is still over half a tank left. It really is a joy to drive. Gear changing is smooth, it absorbs the bumps in the road really well. Its nippy around town and is really good to drive on the motorways picking up speed very quickly. It doesnt make too much noise when driving on the motorway. The surround sound is brilliant. Its spacious inside. I love the touchscreen functions. Love the fact also that it looks a bit sporty. I highly recommend it.
The Skoda Fabia 1.4 petrol is a cracking little car, packed brim full with useful features. It consistently comes in the top 5 small estate cars. Easy to drive, loads of space, all the safety features, excellent adjustment for seat height, fire and aft adjustment and steering wheel adjustment. Quiet to drive and very economical. Highly recommended
economical, well designed and very good value for money Compare it with VW Polo- cheaper.
