| Pros | Cons |

Quick Summary
The Seat Ibiza is a stylish and practical five-door supermini that has remained relevant despite being on sale since 2017. Now in its fifth generation, it rivals models such as the Volkswagen Polo, Renault Clio, and Skoda Fabia. A facelift at the end of 2025 brought revised exterior styling with slimmer LED headlights, a new grille and bumpers, fresh alloy wheel designs, and upgraded interior materials. The cabin benefits from an improved infotainment system and enhanced quality throughout. UK buyers are offered a 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine with either 94bhp paired with a five-speed manual, or 113bhp available with a six-speed manual or seven-speed DSG automatic.
The Ibiza is very practical by supermini standards, sitting on the same platform as the Volkswagen Polo. Four adults fit comfortably with good legroom and headroom, whilst the 355-litre boot offers adequate luggage capacity with a neat, square shape and 60:40 folding rear seats. It remains one of the most enjoyable cars to drive in its class, striking a good balance between comfort and agility. The entry-level five-speed manual 1.0-litre TSI achieves claimed average economy of up to 55.4mpg with CO2 emissions of 115g/km. Running costs are low, with competitive insurance groups and fixed-price servicing available. The Ibiza is well equipped across the range, with all versions featuring a touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, digital instrument cluster, DAB radio, Bluetooth connectivity, and driver assistance systems.
Best for: Budget-conscious buyers seeking a stylish, practical, and economical supermini with strong value for money, and those wanting an engaging driving experience without premium badge appeal.
Not ideal for: Buyers prioritising the latest interior design, maximum driving engagement, or electrification options such as hybrid or electric powertrains.
Comparison vs Key Rivals

| Seat Ibiza | 4/5 | 5.0/5 | 34.1% | 4.5/5 |

The Verdict
You should buy the Ibiza if: You're seeking a stylish, practical, and economical supermini with strong value for money, and want an engaging driving experience without paying for premium badge appeal.
Consider alternatives if: You prioritise the latest interior design, maximum driving engagement, or require electrification options such as hybrid or electric powertrains.
Competitive Position: The Seat Ibiza is an excellent compact hatchback that serves up a spacious interior, efficient engines, a refined nature, and subtle yet stylish looks. It feels more mature than rivals like the Ford Fiesta, and updates introduced at the end of 2025 keep it relevant in a competitive class. Whilst it doesn't have the polish of a Volkswagen Polo, it's often more affordable to buy. Newer rivals such as the Peugeot 208 and Renault Clio pose a challenge thanks to their fresher technology and electrification options. However, the Ibiza's appealing blend of sharp styling, practicality, equipment, low running costs, and keen prices ensure it maintains a strong following.

(6 reviews)My daughters first car she loves it, we were surprised how spacious it is for a small car, far more room than my other daughters corsa d, and considerably cheaper to insure
The cars features are really good for a 2012. I think the price of car was very good for the condition of it.
Just got the seat abiza, and I love it, quite nippy for 1.4 petrol, nice size boot, nice looking interior, all and all a very nice car.
My expectations were high, considering that it is really a VW Polo at much less price. The drive is smooth and quiet and it handles beautifully on all roads, but loves the motorway. First class.
Great car - It was me that bought it! It has given me the excitement in driving again. Its only a car - but I love it. Thought I always liked big cars - the Seat Ibiza is a little car that feels like a big one. Although it goes round corners like its on rails.
