I love this car! It has exceeded my expectations. Ive had the car for a few days, filled it up for £57 and have driven about 200 miles and there is still over half a tank left. It really is a joy to drive. Gear changing is smooth, it absorbs the bumps in the road really well. Its nippy around town and is really good to drive on the motorways picking up speed very quickly. It doesnt make too much noise when driving on the motorway. The surround sound is brilliant. Its spacious inside. I love the touchscreen functions. Love the fact also that it looks a bit sporty. I highly recommend it.

Skoda Fabia Mk4 (2026) Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Very roomy interior | Some weedy engine choices |
| Comfortable and easy to drive | So-so warranty offering |
| Good value for money | Sporty Fabia 130 isn't available with a manual gearbox |
Quick Summary
The Skoda Fabia Mk4 (2026) is a spacious, practical, and affordable supermini that delivers exceptional value for money. Built on the MQB-A0 platform, it's significantly larger than many competitors, offering 380 litres of boot space—matching the Volkswagen Golf and Seat Leon from the class above. The cabin is well-appointed with quality materials and modern technology, whilst the driving experience prioritises comfort and refinement over outright excitement. With petrol engines ranging from 79bhp to 148bhp, fuel economy is impressive at around 50-57mpg, keeping running costs low.
The new Fabia 130 hot hatch variant, unveiled in late 2025, offers a more engaging drive with 174bhp and a seven-speed DSG gearbox, accelerating to 62mph in 7.4 seconds. However, it's only available with automatic transmission. The Fabia remains true to Skoda's philosophy of providing a bigger-than-average car for a smaller-than-average price, making it an excellent choice for budget-conscious families and commuters seeking practicality, comfort, and reliability without compromise.
Best for: Growing families, budget-conscious buyers, commuters seeking practicality and comfort, and those wanting an affordable hot hatch (Fabia 130).
Not ideal for: Drivers prioritising manual gearboxes on performance models, those seeking thrilling driving dynamics, or buyers wanting premium badge appeal.

The Verdict
You should buy the Fabia if: You're a budget-conscious buyer seeking a spacious, practical, and comfortable supermini, or looking for an affordable hot hatch (Fabia 130).
Consider alternatives if: You prioritise manual gearboxes on performance models, seek thrilling driving dynamics, or require premium badge appeal.
Competitive Position: The Skoda Fabia Mk4 (2026) is a standout contender in the supermini market, offering exceptional space, practicality, and value that rivals struggle to match. Whilst the Volkswagen Polo and Seat Ibiza offer premium appeal and the Hyundai i20 provides a lengthy warranty, the Fabia delivers superior interior roominess, comfort, and affordability. Its impressive boot space, quality cabin, and low running costs make it an exceptionally sensible choice for families and commuters. The new Fabia 130 also provides an exciting, affordable performance option that few competitors can match at this price point.
