Porsche Cayenne 2026 review | A large SUV that drives like a Porsche
overall
The Porsche Cayenne is one of the most convincing large performance SUVs on sale. It’s spacious, practical and comfortable enough for family life, but still feels more rewarding to drive than something this big and heavy has any right to. The updated range offers strong petrol engines, powerful V8 models and plug-in hybrids with a useful amount of electric range. The newer, full-EV Porsche Cayenne Electric is covered separately.
As you might expect, the Cayenne is expensive to buy and run, while Porsche’s options list can make prices climb alarmingly quickly. Some rivals also feel more luxurious for the money, and the smaller Porsche Macan SUV is more agile. Even so, the Cayenne’s blend of performance, practicality and driver appeal make it one of the standout choices in the class.
